Camry Hybrid Battery Fan Cleaning

Hybrid battery cooling fan located between the back seat and the trunk.
Unplug the fan connector then the three bolts holding down the fan.

Remove the five screws holding down the outer shell of the fan.  Next using a garden hose, spray water and remove all dirt from the fan. Make sure the fan is facing down so as you spray water into the fan,  you want to avoid spraying the power board.   After you have successfully cleaned all dirt off the fan.  Use a compressed air to dry the fan. Dry without spinning the fan because if you spin the fan too fast you may break or hurt the fan.

After the fan is dry go ahead and reinstall the fan to the battery.

Next connect to techsteam through your computer.  Go to HV Battery tab.  Then go to active test then select control cooling fan.  There you can control the speed of the cooling fan to confirm the fan is working properly.   Put everything back and go for a test drive to confirm no codes come out.
